Every year in October area schools are visited by the local volunteer fire departments so children, faculty and staff alike can be educated on Fire Safety as part of Fire Prevention Week. The program includes demonstrations, educational materials, as well as the firefighters dressing up in full turn out gear to teach children not to be afraid of a firefighter. Our Biomedical Services Manager, Justin Ross, took some time out of his busy schedule to participate in the Fire Prevention Week school visitations. He had two photographs in the Courier Express documenting his time at Wasson Elementary School. Way to go Justin! Thank you for your efforts!

KMA Remarketing Corporation is proud to say that over half of our employees are Fire Fighters, EMT's, Paramedic's, or prior Military. We never have the liberty to "clock out" or say "well they didnt teach me that in training" while there is a car on fire hanging off a bridge. You stay and do what you need to do to get the job done. With this type of background we know our employees are dedicated to the customers and will work as dilligently as possible to provide the best service they can. While our job is number one, coming from a small town the fire department needs all the help they can get. Which is why we allow our employees to leave in order to assist our local fire departments during calls.
In June our area was stricken with a disasterous flash flood. Several homes and businesses lost everything. One of the local businesses that had a lot of damage recently made a donation to the DuBois City Fire Department and the Sandy Township Volunteer Fire Department for their help with clean up efforts during and after the flooding. Below is the article written by Sensus; with our very own CEO, Dana Smith, accepting the donation on behalf of the Sandy Township Volunteer Fire Department.
